Scholarships for High School Seniors

Each year, the Lawrence Lion Alumni Association gives scholarships to graduating Lawrence High School seniors. We look for students who have contributed to LHS by participating in many school and/or community activities, who are good citizens, who have expressed a desire to further their education, but who will not be receiving scholarship money from another source (i.e. academic, athletic, the arts). We search for seniors who, without our help, would probably not be able to continue their education at a college, junior college, vocational school or trade school.

LLAA has been giving scholarships to LHS seniors for over 17 years. The number of recipients and dollar amounts have grown over the years, with the present number being 13 scholarships valued at $1500 each. The golf tournament provides the money for the scholarships as well as a couple of generous donations that have been received over the years.

LHS seniors, with a minimum of a 2.4 GPA, who would like to apply for a scholarship should fill out the standard scholarship application available at Lawrence High School.
